Human Rights Fundraiser features ‘Lost Boy of Sudan’
8-17-2007
John Bul Dau's memoir "God Grew Tired of Us" recounts a story of tragedy, survival, and escape from war-torn Sudan. Dau will be the keynote speaker and honoree of this year's "Change Your World Celebration" sponsored by the Idaho Human Rights Education Center. Oliver Russell has donated design services to promote the event as part of our ongoing partnership with the Center.
The Center's annual fundraiser will take place on Friday, September 28, at the Grove Hotel in downtown Boise. Dau's book tells the story of how from the age of 13 he escaped genocide, disease, war and starvation until a church organization brought him to the United States in 2001.
