The Most Liveable City in America
10-03-2008
How do you become the most liveable city in America? It's a lofty goal, and it's Boise's vision. The city has reason to be optimistic. It's regularly ranked in the top 10 U.S. cities to live and work. In July, Kiplinger's Personal Finance ranked it number four.
So... not there yet, but close.
The city of Boise recently hired Oliver Russell to help communicate its strategic plan to city employees. The goal is to help every employee understand his/her role in making Boise the most liveable city in the country. To that end, Oliver Russell is creating several printed and online communications to represent the city's strategic plan in a very un-strategic plan like way. A poster and Z-fold brochure show the city's strategy in an illustrated, city map style, and a microsite lets employees have an interactive experience of how their jobs contribute to the overall vision. It's all about making that lofty goal a little more in reach every day.
