Oliver Russell has selected recipients for its 2010 ‘O-pen Purse’ financial and service grants equaling $20,000. This brings Oliver Russell’s total contributions to Treasure Valley organizations to nearly $1.5 million since its inception in 1991.
This year Oliver Russell will provide design and website services to Boise Urban Garden School, whose mission is to engage youth through organic gardening and a learning environment that promotes nutrition, health, and a sustainable local food system. In addition, Oliver Russell awarded a cash gift to The Good Samaritan Home in Boise, which provides affordable housing and meals to those in need.
Since the agency was founded, Oliver Russell has contributed the greater of one percent of annual revenue or ten percent of profits in cash or in-kind services to area nonprofits through its O-pen Purse grant program. The company’s focus for giving includes youth, conservation, human rights programs, and support of the arts.
