What was the first concert you ever attended?
Candlebox. It was at a small bar in Pocatello, ID, so I'm not sure if that counts or not.
What is one fact about you that people find surprising?
I tried to make a motorcycle movie called BBQ'd Pucks and Twisted Throttles. I sold the idea to a friend of mine, we started Wicked Chicken Studios LLC, and spent the summer riding racetracks in Utah, Nevada and Oregon with our pre-GoPro era cameras strapped to our motorcycles. We brought down a photographer from Seattle to help with videography and photography, had a song written and produced for the trailer (the song was actually pretty good), and convinced several bands from Boise and Portland to donate their music to us. Even with all that, it failed spectacularly. As in never made it off the computer fail.
What’s worth fighting for?
Family, liberty, public lands, and un-sanitized MTB trails.
What would you eat for your final meal?
Casanova’s ham and mushroom pizza, my wife’s chicken enchiladas, finger steaks from Rudy’s, biscuits and gravy, bacon burger, scallops from the Chart Room in Crescent City, CA, and a Coke with crushed ice in a Styrofoam cup. Probably ought to throw in some Smash Fries from Smashburger.
What did you think you were going to be when you grew up?
A lawyer. I used to love arguing with people. My parents can attest to that.
Favorite breakfast food?
Pork – bacon, ham and sausage. That's a win, win, win in my book.
Would you rather ride a bike, a horse or a motorcycle?
Motorcycle. But only if it's a 600cc or larger sportbike on a racetrack. There's nothing like the feeling of dragging your knee around a corner.
Do you have pets?
Three dogs – Izzy P, Zoburg and Aldochos El Terrible. Those are their nicknames by the way.
